WHO WE ARE

With JATC's apprenticeship program, you make money while you learn how to make money. Our organization is a branch of the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee—now called The Electrical Training Alliance. This alliance is a joint effort between the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). This alliance has trained over 350,000 apprentices to journeyman through local affiliate programs like JATC153.

What makes our program so appealing? Our hands-on approach to education offers our students employment opportunities to work 40 hours a week and attend class only two nights a week. It means you “earn while you learn.” Our program actually does the job placement for you, so you don't have to concern yourself with the job search.

And the benefits don't end there. By completing our course, apprentices will gain access to an industry with benefits like:

  • Excellent wage rates

  • Paid health insurance

  • A promising career with job security

  • State-of-the-art training

  • Safer working conditions

  • Advancement opportunities

  • Guaranteed pension benefits
