WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

G. You will complete a form to be sent your school(s) that will provide an official copy of your high school transcripts and post high school education and training

----------------------------------------------------------------------

HANG IN THERE, WE'RE ALMOST DONE

After we receive all of your information and you have gotten at least a 4 out of a possible 10 on your aptitude test, you qualify for an interview. This interview is conducted at the Apprenticeship school by the JATC members. They will ask questions about your academic history, job history, related training/hobbies etc. all in an effort to place the best qualified applicants into our program. We receive anywhere from 100 to 250 applicants per year and take in 20 - 40 apprentices each year, so this is the hardest part of the process.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FOR ALL THIS TROUBLE?

If you are accepted to our program you will begin work whenever there is need (usually summer time). You will start at 40 % of Journeyman’s pay and receive advances of the term of your apprenticeship. You will attend classes in the evening roughly 2 nights per week from Sept. thru May. Although there is no tuition fee, you will be expected to pay for your books and must have a laptop computer with wireless capabilities before the class year starts. You will receive periodic raises during your apprenticeship and will receive employer paid benefits (health insurance, pension, annuity)

WHAT IF I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS?

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE @ 574-233-1721. WE WILL BE GLAD TO HELP YOU ANY WAY WE CAN
